I’ve been toying with the idea of creating my own custom outer doors, and contemplating their insulating abilities, often falling back on the notion that giant corporate manufacturers know best. Then I wake up and realize how far I’ve come in this tiny house project and remembering I have skills, but also suddenly realizing — hey — my existing back door is all wood and built by hand. It is far from perfect but it has battled frigid Canadian winter blasts for 3/4 century quite valiantly. So, yeah, let’s do this!
